Setelah merilis single “Interval (2009 Version)” dalam bentuk 7” Vinyl dan “Fine” dalam bentuk digital pada akhir tahun 2009 lalu, kini Goodnight Electric kembali akan merilis sebuah single terbaru yang berjudul “Teenage Love And Broken Heart”. Single ini menjadi preview dari album terbaru Goodnight Electric yang sudah ditunggu hampir 3 tahun setelah peluncuran album kedua “Electroduce Yourself” pada tahun 2007 oleh penggemarnya.

Single yang diproduseri oleh Henry Foundation dan Fisma ini akan dirilis sendiri oleh Goodnight Electric dan HFMF Records dalam bentuk digital dan dapat diunduh dengan gratis.

“Kita ingin semua pecinta musik Goodnight Electric bisa men-download gratis single ini, salah satu alasannya adalah untuk membayar janji hutang album baru kita yang belum selesai sampai saat ini,” jelas Bondi Goodboy mengenai digital distribusi single tersebut…

“Teenage Love And Broken Heart” masih kental dengan unsur electronik pop yang enerjik ala Goodnight Electric, namun kali ini mereka mencoba menyederhanakan sound dan memasukan gitar sebagai instrumen tambahan. Single ini diharapkan dapat memberi warna baru dalam format musik maupun visual Goodnight Electric kedepannya nanti.

“Perubahan itu baik, agar selalu ada yang baru, kita tidak mau terjebak dalam satu gaya atau tipe tertentu. Kedepan nanti kita mau mencoba lebih kasual dalam musik dan visual kita, seperti mencopot keseragaman kita atau kalau perlu membanting-banting gitar di panggung jika mampu,” ungkap oomleo..

“Tema-tema lagu pun juga akan berubah, kita tidak lagi membicarakan UFO, robot, komputer dan hal-hal absurd lainnya. Kita mau mencoba melihat dan masuk kedalam budaya serta problema yang sedang terjadi di anak muda dan sekitarnya seperti cerita di dalam lagu “Teenage love…” Henry Foundation mencoba menjelaskan dengan sedikit serius..

Well, it’s been a long time coming. Jakarta’s most “prestige” indie label, Aksara Records officially shut down their business yesterday (18/09). The news itself wasn’t unpredicted regarding rumors about bankruptcy and hiring Aldo Sianturi (previously, THAT guy who made lame but hot selling compilation universal CDs) earlier this year.

The status of their artists roster are unknown at this time except for SORE and White Shoes and the Couples Company who will be joining virtually the same company men, David Tarigan and Aldo Sianturi in Raksasa Records. Continue Reading
