Tell us more about your upcoming release.
The album is coming out on 10/14 on the Hypnote Recording Concern label. We won a grant from GenArt and Biore Skin Care in the end of 2007, and used the money to record the album with Dan Horne (Beachwood Sparks, Wolfmother, Lilys) at Lone Palm Studios. A lot of our friends played on the album, and it really was a coming together of lots of different elements. It was mastered in Sweden by Henrik Jonsson (Peter Bjorn and John, Robyn, The Knife, Lykke Li) which really gave it this particular sound we love.
The songs were all written in the past few years, mostly having to do with falling in love, falling out of love, and then figuring out what to do when it’s all over and life seems completely open and unknown.
Share us some stories about the music scene in your city?
LA is filled with some really talented people. I don’t know, it just seems really supportive and I love the fact that there are so many impromptu venues here…hidden away in strip malls next to chuches and nail salons.
There’s a real sense of family vibe between the bands here. it’s great.

What was the last book you read? is it good?
I am reading The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver. Yes, it’s good. Pretty tragic though… epic and interesting. I like books that are based in some sort of historical reality - cuz you can learn a lot, even though you’re just reading a novel.
I am also reading What Color is Your Parachute. trying to figure out my life. you know.
