Being the first Indonesian indie-pop-band to have podcast shows, Mocca offers free download of premiere Mocca Wonderland episode at www.mymocca.com.
In conjunction with their participation at Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival 2006 (www.javajazzfestival.com/2006) today, Mocca announces the soft launch of their renovated website to facilitate what they have wanted to do for past few years; that is, simply to communicate with Friends (which is what they call their ?fans?) better and to give something extra to the loyal ones by way of podcasting.
To do this, Mocca has teamed up with Vice Versa (www.theviceversa.com), a fan base builder based in Singapore. Starting on 4 March 2006, fans will find creative, innovative and informative fan club materials and services that reflect the true friendly personality of Mocca?s personnel and respond to the desires of the Friends.
Mocca is reinventing the way Indonesian bands convey their message across the online medium to the fans. Audio podcast is just one the beginning of the band?s project. Wait until you see what Mocca can do with video podcast. They are absolutely fabulous!? said Indi Soemardjan, Vice Versa?s Business Manager.
Mocca plans to fully launch the Mocca Friends Club (a catchy name for their community of fans) by 17 March 2006, exactly one day before they perform with Kings of Convenience from Bergen, Norway (www.kingsofconvenience.com) on 18 March 2006 in Jakarta.
As a member of the club, Mocca promises preferred seating and ?Meet & Greet? participation at all Mocca headlining concerts, opportunities to participate in travel packages to see Mocca perform in cool places around the world, zones of MyMocca.com where members have access to exclusive podcast episodes, wallpapers and photos, and lastly, an access to members-only online chats with Mocca personnel.
Having completed a series of international concerts in Pattaya (Thailand), Okinawa (Japan), Singapore and Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) since the last quarter of 2005, this independent band has been reaching out to sophisticated and mature audience at a much faster rate than any Indonesian band has ever done.
Their debut started with My Diary in 2002 and was followed by Friends in 2004.
The band launched a mini-album called Mocca - Music Inspired by the Movie: For Rena, which was inspired by a movie directed by Riri Riza, Untuk Rena.
Things just seem to get better for Mocca as their label FFWD Records (www.ffwdrecords.com) is already in negotiation for a musical performance in Korea in mid-2006.
